D.I.Y Aged Planter

IMG_3509-3 One thing about me is I try to be modern, but I also love anything vintage.  I especially love vintage planters.  There's something about those aged, white planters that I just adore.  Like all things vintage, you can't just go to the store and quickly buy them.  So what's a girl to do?  A D.I.Y project, of course.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • terra-cotta planters

  • paint brush

  • baking powder

  • water

  • bowl

HERE'S WHAT YOU DO

IMG_3471Mix the baking soda and water together.  Your mixture should be fizzy and liquidy (not pasty). Now, paint the pot....don't get to crazy with it.

cc pOnce the mixture is dry, gently wipe the powder.  You don't want to wipe the powder off, just move it around so you don't see brush marks.  jjjjBam.  Now you have a perfectly aged planter.  IMG_3509-2
